Robert Maddox, better known on the internet as Crazy Rocketman, may look like a mad scientist constructing wild inventions to satisfy an adrenaline-fueled death wish, and everything we’ve seen about this guy says…that’s exactly what it is.
Inspired as a kid by watching Wile E. Coyote strap himself to rockets in pursuit of the Roadrunner, and later by a desire to freefall faster during skydiving competitions, Bob has turned his passion for thrust into one of the most unique and followed builders of DIY jet powered vehicles.
He may have a crash helmet on (only sometimes), but there’s no fooling anyone on what the priority of his endeavors are…and it sure as hell isn’t safety.
That’s fine by us, because look at the grin on his face! When was the last time you did something that made you smile that big?
The point is not to go strap a rocket to your lawnmower and see how fast you can go, but maybe there’s something we can all learn from Crazy Rocketman about what’s important in life.
Passion. Fun. Pursuing what makes you happy, no matter what it may look like from the outside.
Everything about this guy oozes NotNormalness, and we absolutely love this guy for it. Keep doing you, Bob! You’re an inspiration to us all.
