The NotNormal Perspective

Growing up in middle-class suburban America, Logan went to school, was involved at church, played sports, did extracurricular activities, stayed out of trouble, and was surrounded by guys that were carbon copies of him. Society basically groomed his life to go in a specific direction.
Yet, when High School graduation was over in 2021 and everyone around him was thinking about college degrees and working for ‘the man’, Logan’s passion for music flipped his perspective. Instead of asking himself, “what if I go all-in on music and fail?”, he asked himself, “what if I don’t go all-in on music and miss the biggest opportunity of my life?” When he thought about it that way, it was a no-brainer!
The NotNormal Character While a 17yr old may not have much to lose, the decision to live outside of your comfort zone is instinctive…and NotNormal. At 17, the normal teenager cares most about friends, sports, clothes, lust, parties, and school. Logan did to, but the difference was that he was willing to make all those things second to being a musician. He was willing to face the fear of failure, give 110%, and sacrifice the things that most people his age care about most.
The NotNormal Heart College is a walk in the park compared to building a career in music. Landing a record deal and concert series doesn’t fall in your lap just because you have a little talent. It takes countless hours of practice and pounding the streets to be even remotely successful.
That’s just a Tuesday for Logan now. He’s become more than a musician, Logan is a one-man business that’s responsible for making a product, selling it, and making sure customers come back for more…all while not going broke in the process. How many teenagers do you know that can pull that off? The kid is a hustler.
The NotNormal Result With risk comes reward, and the most fulfilling reward is one that’s earned. Within a year of taking his NotNormal path, Logan has played countless gigs, landed a recording contract, written songs, produced a music video with one of the biggest names in his genre of music, and is performing live at some of the hottest venues in Houston, Texas. He didn’t just become a musician; he got an education from the school of real life. Logan has accomplished more in one year that most people do in 10 years. Was it easy for him – no. Was it worth it to him – yes! Do we agree – hell yeah we do!
