As a Fijian immigrant to Canada, Saawan followed the most common path to success. She laid down roots through her education, volunteering, building friendships and a family, and building a career in the highly sought-after Canadian energy industry. But something was missing. While highly successful based on normal standards, Saawan felt like she was living her life by a playbook that was written by someone else. She sought a greater level of fulfillment. She aspired to have a greater impact on the culture that gave her such a warm welcome so many years ago. Sure, quitting a cushy corporate job to chase a dream had risk, but once Saawan realized she was missing something so profound in her life, she couldn’t stop thinking about it. She couldn’t simply un-think it and continue living her normal life, there was too much to gain. It was time for action.

Walking away from a successful career is crazy to most people, but to Saawan it was running toward a bigger purpose. With values steeped in culture, sustainability, and giving back, she found herself on the edge of the mountain about to do a cannonball into freezing cold water…figuratively, and literally.

Together with her partner Linda Cheung, Saawan founded Canada’s finest premium sustainable water bottling company. It doesn’t just take guts to do a 180 in your career. It takes copious amounts of optimism and a belief in yourself…all of which define Saawan Logan. Just like the glacial fed water source that filles each bottle of North Water, there’s no stopping this empowered woman.

There’s no doubt we all face challenges in our lives, but when you’re Saawan Logan, you don’t look at challenges as a problem, you look at them as a new and exciting way of learning. Resilience is flooding out of her ears, and perseverance is beaming out of her eyes. Every day is a gift and an adventure, and that’s how she runs her business…and her life.
